Historic Victorian Restoration

When the Rufus Rose House, a turn of the century Victorian home, came on the market for $1 million dollars, we knew it was a great opportunity for one of our clients. The property was built in 1906 for a gentleman named Rufus Rose. It’s located at 576 Peachtree Street and sits directly across from the new Emery Cancer Center, just south of North Avenue.

Our client is experienced in historic landmark restoration, and he was immediately interested. We made an all cash offer at asking price, and were able to close quickly.

We worked with our client to analyze who an ideal tenant might be for this type of space, and began the repairs. During this process, another restoration group made an offer on the property. Our client accepted. We sold the property for $1.8 million 24 months after its purchase with a net profit of $750,000.
